LIFE IS NOT A DRESS REHEARSAL

LIFE IS NOT A DRESS REHEARSAL

Each day, each week and each year just seems to get faster and faster for so many of us and we are all guilty of putting things off:

- “I am going to do that tomorrow”

- “Next year I promise myself that I will take a holiday or look for a new job”

- “I’m going to start doing some exercise or meditation in a few weeks”

The funny thing is we are all aware that life is going so quickly and that it is short. We get one chance but why do we avoid and procrastinate so much?

If we ask anyone who is in their final days of life or anyone sick in hospital, they all say I should have just done it, I wished I just did it.

So my thought this week is that LIFE IS NOT A DRESS REHEARSAL if there is something you want to do, just do it!

If you are not happy in an area of your life, guess what, you are the only one that can change it, if you want to pick up the phone and call someone and something is holding you back just DO IT.

This is it, the lights are up, the costumes are on and this is your time to shine.

"The trouble is we think we have time" - Buddha

There are a small percentage of our population who do love life, and who do take risks and take chances that push them out of their comfort zone but the rest of society go through the same motions day in day out with the same responsibility, same tasks, work, home, kids and nothing changes.

If you are one of these people that want to make a change and are not happy what can you do about it?

If you found out that you only had a short time to live, (yes it’s not pleasant to think this way but sometimes it’s needed) ask yourself, “what would I do differently?”

For me as I think about this, I am aware that I am holding myself back in terms of booking speaking engagements so yes I AM going to make a change, I am going to email the contacts I have and get myself a calendar full of speaking engagements.

I don’t want to be the girl that stands on the side-line waiting for my turn to walk onto stage, I am going to be the girl that runs on as soon as the lights go up because I only get one shot and I want to give it my best.

What do you choose to do? Sit on the side-line or play full out and whatever you choose? Make sure you smile and enjoy it.

Until next time sending love and light
