Habits of Successful People
What Habits can you add to your life?
We all know that habits can either help or hurt your success in life. Bad habits such as eating fast food, smoking and drinking Coke can relate to a huge amount of our populations health and weight issues. Bad habits over a long time can fester and result in disease, sadness and a sense of lack of fulfilment in our lives and I’m pretty sure we all have one or two bad habits. For me, it’s not the diet and exercise part but man I do love the sunshine. I love the feeling of the sun on my skin and can be known to bake myself for hours at a time.
So this week I am working on some habits that I can personally change and I have also been doing some reading on what the most successful people do every day and thought I might share so together we can all have some seriously good habits.
If you were to look at someone you respect and who is successful, you would see that they spend each day doing the things that help them accomplish their biggest goals. This does not mean that they are perfect but they continue to make moves that have a positive impact on their lives.
So let’s just a pick a few good habits that we could add to our daily routine to help us move towards a more positive impact on our lives.
1. Successful people plan out their day the night before
How do we drive a car or a plane without a map or a destination in mind? How much more productive would your day be if you had a clear goal for your next day? For example, attending a gym session, making ten sales or whatever it is.
2. Successful people start their day with 30 minutes of exercise
We all know that exercise makes us feel great and we are so much more energised when we have done something that gets our heart rate up, blood pumping and just makes us feel great. Guess what, when we feel great we are so much more likely to get more done and bonus, enjoy doing it at the same time. So when are you hitting the gym or doing your daily yoga class?
3. Successful people live each day as if it was their last
Life is busy, it’s chaotic and so you tend to want to focus on the future - we all do it, worry about what’s next. But while planning is important, so is living - being fully present. When we have a big goal it’s so easy to get frustrated and annoyed at life but if we learn to look for the magic moments in every day and enjoy every day we get so much more out of life.
So what habits can you start to work on this week to help you get a better chance of achieving your desired success?
