John’s first thing that he does in the morning is that he internally affirms some powerful statements that
“If you are going to live an inspired life you can’t do it if you doing low priority things.”
John doesn’t take a traditional day off. He spends time with his family and travels. He delegates things like driving, cooking, etc except where he research, travels and teaches.
John’s inspired by the things he learns and inspired sharing research and meeting people that are inspiring. He gives examples of young teenagers overcoming amazing odds and shares his stories of what’s possible with others.
John’s favourite meals would be mixed fruit
John’s believes the best thing we can do for our health is eating good, nutritious food and spending time with people that inspire you/being in service of others.
John talks about being a slave to money compared to money working for you – and using meaning as a way of doing this.
Albert Einstein, Leonardo Di Vinci, Socrates and Copernicus would be John’s fantasy dinner guests.
The things that make John laugh the most are things that come out of his own mouth and people watching/analysing human behaviour and he shares an amusing story about an incident at Heathrow Airport and a perfumery.
John’s gratitude journal is based on “I had an opportunity to…..” and was born on Thanksgiving Day so he’s been instilled from a young age to have an attitude of gratitude.

T.M. Hoy has also written Rotting in the Bangkok Hilton (Skyhorse Publishing), and The Nature of Religion (Pan Publishing). Originally from California's Silicon Valley, he became a gemologist after college and worked in the jewellery industry for years. He travelled extensively throughout Europe and Asia and kept homes in Bangkok and the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai. It was at his villa in Chiang Mai where a friend murdered a woman in his house and he made the fateful decision to help cover it up instead of going to the police. He spent the next 5 years in Bangkok's notorious Bang Kwang Central Prison and an additional 11 years in the U.S. prison system. My personal Journey through India

My India Trip

Welcome to this week’s episode where I talk about my transformative trip to India:

* Carla’s journey started in Delhi after a long wait in the airport and witnessing the hustle and bustle straight away headed to her hostel. Her first stop was at an orphanage in the slum area of Delhi.

* Carla’s first day at the orphanage was really engaging where she was starting with nursery rhymes

* As Carla found her rhythm she would start the day with yoga before starting teaching the kids their ABCs

* Carla found it challenging with the cold weather and doing burpees to warm herself up

* The richness of culture and the street vendors, the spirituality of the area and the hectic nature of the Delhi took Carla and divine intervention from a priest that helped her when she had a case of Delhi belly!

* Carla experienced a traditional Indian head massage

* Carla then went to the spiritual city of Varanasi on the overnight train and onto Agra being enthralled by the sights of the Taj Mahal then onto the Pink City in Jaipur

* Carla then returned to Delhi where she then caught a flight to Goa

* Carla’s Goa trip was transformative – after spending 2 hours each morning with her yoga master learning Ashtanga, doing meditation and chanting. It also gave her a chance to work on intention goal-setting for the year ahead.

* Carla talks about her “Wheel of Life” and focuses on each aspect of her life, committing to her goals and using them affirmatively saying “I am….”

* Carla challenges you to ask yourself whether you are ordinary or extraordinary

Welcome to this week’s podcast, today we are talking to MJ Fitzpatrick.
 
MJ has always been a people person from a young school age. 
MJ grew up with difficulties with anxiety and worries and making sure he was always doing the right thing. 
At 17 he was playing Rugby Union at school and experienced a devastating accident where he broke his neck. It took about 2 years where he was learning to deal with this. 
Unfortunately two years later, MJ broke his back and by aged 20 he had his second spinal effusion. This led him to be angry with the world and started to push back.
PTSD, drug addiction and issues with mental health led him to his personal journey. MJ then moved overseas.
Getting better as a human being is one of the biggest lessons MJ learnt. 
Eventually MJ could not longer think that his hardships he went through were bad as it led him to good through his service he could give to others. 
MJ was scared about betting on himself at this point to be a coach to help others so he enrolled into med school and on his second day he had an intuitive message that it wasn’t right for him and 5 weeks later made a courageous and emotional decision to leave. 
MJ’s path took him to personal training and found that it didn’t have as much of impact as he would have liked.
MJ then turned to the Sydney start-up hub which contained 5000 people and added each one of these entrepreneurs as a friend on Facebook. 
3000 accepted and MJ emailed each of them to offer them a free session of coaching and eventually this led to paid clients - this is how his business took off.
A speaking gig allowed him to offer the same thing where he could connect with people for free initially then eventually get to help them with his business. 
This led MJ to think about what sort of impact he wanted to have on the world and follow his internal compass. 
MJ realised that his work is a reflection of his spiritual journey and staying humble and true to his craft helped with this. 
MJ spends part of his day doing deep work where he can work on his craft and the rest of the time spending time with clients. 
MJ’s definitions of happiness is spending time in one of his programs he’s created called The Container and the second definition is connecting with his girlfriend.
MJ has a routine doing HIIT on the bike, meditation, deep breathing and spend time by the harbour. He writes five things he needs to get done and then three things he’s grateful for.
MJ’s last meal on Earth would be a Las Vegas rib eye steak, crispy fries, bearnaise sauce and soda water.
MJ’s non-negotiable thing is connecting with himself beyond his mind and building on his intuition. 
Anything that sacrifices your health for any other outcomes is not conducive to anything and not worth taking the risk. Placing importance on health can answer those honest questions you should ask yourself where you can let go of ego and serve yourself in a positive way. 
MJ’s inspiration has been his girlfriend, due to her way of dealing with trauma along with idols such as Anthony Robbins, Oprah etc.
MJ’s deepest failures beyond what he’s discussed is that he can look back with gratitude is, letting go of some friends that at the time, were good but ongoing weren’t.
If MJ is out of his natural state he relaxes his body and tries to go back to his routine. 
MJ’s laugh out loud moments include stand up comedians like Eddie Izzard, the people in his life and himself. 
MJ has several gratitude practices - starting with his home country - Australia.

Jenny has been in coaching and NLP for three years after a colourful past involving travelling, working in the mining industry and personal training. After dealing with anxieties, drug use, toxic relationships, loneliness, and long hours it gave Jenny a way to shift her perspectives on her outlook of life.
Jenny talks about modelling masculine energy and fighting her femininity.
Negative talk and anxieties were the starting point where things were beginning to shift and a friend bought her an NLP three pack course where she should understand her mind and her conditioning.
Getting in touch with a coach helped her to create her own business.
NLP is neuro-linguistic programming. It is the study of human behaviour and emotional intelligence or the study of the unconscious mind or is a toolkit in how we use our mind, emotions and language to create excellent results. Used for coaching, therapy, sports, sales, marketing, communication skills.
Timeline therapy helps a person go into their past to release any negative emotions or limiting beliefs and in the future where you programme what you want to create in the future.
Jenny talks about what general sessions with her involving helping people with business, performance, and relationships and using NLP to lay the foundation for what people want to achieve.
Rebuilding forms a part of it as recalibrating the mind and mapping out a future process to achieve their goals.
Jenny’s definition of happiness includes gratitude, living in the moment and making the most of life and talks about bringing yourself back to those states if you step out of your norm.
Jenny’s routine involves meditation, visualisation and setting intentions using mantras and thanking the unconscious mind. A little dancing and a high kick gets her body moving.
Jenny talks about using this projection with finding her partner.
Jenny’s joy is brought by the end of her sessions with her clients to create great results, her live training courses and dancing.
Her favourite meal is brown rice, avocado, halloumi cheese all mixed.
Jenny’s non-negotiable daily thing is exercise.
Emotional well-being is the biggest thing people can be consciously aware of as research shows on average 8/12 emotions we feel everyday are negative.
Jenny’s Dad and Sister are important role models to her.
Jenny’s failures and setbacks have led her to achieve her successes now.

Dr. Cathleen L. Gerenger is a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist. She was born in Vietnam to Chinese parents and immigrated to America at the age of four. She is fluent in Vietnamese, Chinese and English. True to her Asian heritage, she believes in healing the body as a whole and educating her patients on health and wellness.

Dr. Gerenger started her medical journey at a young age. She attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate degree and continued her journey at Life University School of Chiropractic in Georgia. She received her doctorate at the age of 24.

Dr. Gerenger is Chiropractic National Board Certified in Part I, II, III and IV, Physiological Therapeutics and Acupuncture. She also is certified by the Florida Board of Chiropractic and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.

By the age of 27, Dr. Gerenger opened her first private practice in Orange City, Florida. After 12 years of private practice she became part of a group practice, SaJune Medical Institute in Orlando, Florida. Having the vision of changing the healthcare of America, Dr. Gerenger decided to put together a team of like-minded providers. In 2014 she opened RaJeunir Medical Center in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Gerenger developed a systematic protocol that addresses all aspects of health and wellness. She teaches injury prevention, how to manage stress and how to maintain peak performance. Rowena was in the entertainment industry for ten years and her life changed in her mid-twenties when she had got rheumatoid arthritis
A random advert for a Bikram yoga class set her on her path to start practicing yoga then went on to become a Bikram instructor and teacher-training alongside Bikram himself.

She is also an accomplished author
Rowena believes that happiness is responsibility to be happy within yourself rather than external factors

Rowena’s setback that she can look back on is that she had to leave her life behind in India after Bikram said her contract wasn’t going to be renewed, her friends, boyfriend and life as she knew it. As it turned out it was the best thing as it led her to write her book and finish her studies too.

Cathy’s theme song for her life are varied and mood dependent but her favourite one is “I’m so shiny!” from Moana because it resonates with her light to be released in the world.
Cathy tries to laugh every day and makes up random songs about what she does to have a laugh
Cathy’s gratitude practice includes journaling. Thinking about the day before and the gifts that were received and writing it. She has a prayer journal to write down her desires to clarify and attract her thoughts and thank her guides too.

  • Emily had quite a traditional, Irish, catholic upbringing and entered into the corporate 

    environment quite early on and found that she was getting burnt out in her mid-twenties.
    • Emily decided to leave and lo and behold, when she made the decision, the company wasn’t doing financially well and she was offered voluntary redundancy and this fueled her trip around the world.
    • At 28, a white-water rafting experience is Ecuador took a turn for the worse and she suffered a near death experience with her boat being capsized. It was the wake-up call she needed about what route to take.
    • Emily fell unconscious and experienced parting thoughts.
    • Emily’s path led her to Sydney shortly afterwards and to think about what her path meant for her.
    • Emily went back to Ireland to begin her new life and she realised travelling and leaving ones country is a way to appreciate your home.
    • Getting involved in Wisdom 2.0 has been one of Emily’s career highlights.
    • The event demonstrated how there is a need to be “perfect” in business but its emphasis should be on being as authentic as possible.
    • Emily talks about being kinder to yourself, letting yourself off the hook helps to embrace the learning journey and bringing that message back to your tribe is a way to grow.
    • “To me”, “By me”, “Through me” approaches can help with shifting your mindset.
    • “To me” - is a victim mentality so shifting this can help with finding self-empowerment by taking responsibility.
    • “By me” – we are owners and creators of our reality. This is being actioned by masculine energies.
    • “Through me” – this uses feminine principles where you’re in receivership to be inspired. Leaving the ego aside allows you to step back and ask yourself “what wants to be created?” This is a powerful place to detach and surrender as it allows you be open to creative flow by a higher power.
    • SNNOWMERFUNGROUNDS – is an acronym that can help to get into a positive space.
    • Alignment is Emily’s definition of happiness.
    • Emily has a gentle awakening practice that allows her to be present. She uses silence, softness and spaciousness to decide how to get inspired for the day.
    • Emily’s things that make her heart sing are being open with her heart when she’s in her group, a connection with spirit and enjoying the craic. Ultimately, connection with life.
    • Emily’s favourite meal would be a raw food lasagna or raw food chocolate cake.
    • Emily uses prayer, meditation and chanting to get her in alignment, she uses energy-clearing techniques, and blessing her projects and journaling for self-reflection as a daily routine.
    • The best thing that Emily can think that our listeners can do for their health is to honour their natural design.
    • Emily finds inspiration from every day people to Oprah. Her teachers involve Abraham Hicks.
    • Journaling helps Emily with her gratitude practice and sends energy to people who have blessed her life as well as sending loving kindness to people who have hurt her as it forces her to grow.

After completing a Bachelor of Science degree, Andrea wanted to start a job in CSI. She started her working career in Lens Crafters and moved into management. This led her to meet her husband and create a new business together and move into public speaking and training.
“Go for No” is the biggest thing that Andrea and her husband Richard created that people resonated the most with – dealing with the fear of rejection and failure in business.
At a networking event, Andrea came across a client who asked about distance learning and this was a turning point for the growth of Andrea’s company.
“People pleasing” can be a way of placating rather than using the power of saying “no”.
Interpreting “no” can be a healthy way of using it effectively professionally and personally.
When you get a “no” ask whether it’s a temporary “no”, if it isn’t permanent then check back with them.
Andrea’s definition of happiness is about loving what she does and peace.
Andrea’s morning routine involves an early morning coffee.
Animals bring Andrea a tremendous amount of joy as well as live theatre, writing fiction with her husband and music.
Andrea doesn’t have a strict routine but enjoys the change to allow for flexibility and enjoys having Disney World being on her doorstep to break the day-to-day routine.
Walking is the biggest thing that Andrea rates as great people to do for their mental and physical health.
Sarah Blakely (the Spanx creator) is a big inspiration for Andrea.
Stand-up comedy and America’s Home funniest videos are a way to relax.

Pronounced dead for over three minutes following a horrific car crash, Sam Cawthorn survived against all the odds stacked against him. The accident resulted in his right arm being amputated, and caused permanent damage to his right leg. He was told he would never walk again; a setback that would surely defeat many.

Proving the doctors and critics wrong, through sheer determination Sam regained his ability to walk just over a year later.
